Great Morning Son,
Well, here we are at the start of another great week!
It seems that the weather is starting to feel more like summer here. It was 86 degrees at 4 AM this morning with humidity at 72%. Previous weeks we had low temperatures in the 60s and humidity between 25-45 percent. That was very pleasant. We even have heat advisories every day warning of the dangers of excessive heat. That means that my bike ride today should be interesting!
How are things going there? I hope that everything is going great. Things here are great as well. Often times when I say that I am having a great day, people mistakenly think that I’m jumping up and down, bouncing off the walls with happiness. My perspective is different from that. Even if basically, everything seems to go wrong on a particular day, I realize that I have to be alive to experience that. Life is an incredible gift and a great blessing. As the quote by Roger Crawford states, “being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional”.
I received a letter yesterday and after reading it, I was a bit disappointed because it wasn’t what I expected. The letter contained requirements that were not discussed in my lengthy phone conversation with the company. So, when the expectation level wasn’t met, it resulted in disappointment. Fortunately, I adjusted my thoughts. The reality is that people and companies do not always follow through or provide accurate information. With that in mind, I simply decided to transform my disappointment into action to achieve the desired result.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
