How was your weekend? I trust it was everything you wanted it to be and more!
My weekends are typically amazing, and I am very thankful for that!
As you already know, the world around us is changing fast…especially the world of technology. I mention this because as certain types of technology advances, a great many people’s jobs will be at risk. In my humble opinion, we should all keep abreast of the ever-changing world of technology because it will affect us all.
Technology should help to make processes more efficient and cost-effective over the long run. With this increased efficiency and cost-effectiveness comes the impact this will have on the global workforce. It is estimated that up to 800 million global workers may be displaced by automation by 2030. That’s a lot of people!
It should go without saying that, as technology continues to evolve, it will be important for workers, businesses, and governments to adapt and prepare for these changes.
I have personally been involved in a number of industries that changed drastically due to tech innovation and some that just disappeared. Fortunately, I was blessed to be able to adapt and either change industries or acquire the skills necessary to move forward with the new tech. I don’t know what industry you are in, but please keep these things in mind moving forward.
