Happy Magnificent Monday Son,
There’s much to be done this week, and I’m fired up and ready to go! How about you? Big plans for this week?
Just in case you were wondering, yes, I am still doing “Spring cleaning” even though it’s officially Summer. My level of physical organization has fallen far behind my level of digital organization. On the one hand, that makes sense, as my level of digital organization has paid far greater “life dividends” than my level of physical organization.
I’ve decided, more than once, to just dive in and get things more organized. Now, I set a short timer and just start organizing. When the timer is done, I stop and go back to what I was previously doing.
One of my challenges that is shared by many people is procrastination. I’m so much better than I used to be. I think in the past I attached too much emotion to certain tasks to be done. For instance, if I needed tech support on an issue, I imagined dreading being placed on hold for some long period of time before I was eventually connected to someone who knew less about the issue than I did.
In the example above, I know that my approach should have been more positive. These days, it’s just easier if I don’t overthink the task to be done and jump right in to it before any negative thoughts start to creep in. That has been tremendously effective.
How about you? Do you find yourself procrastinating from time to time? What method do you use to stop procrastination in its tracks and get things done?
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
