Great Morning Son,
How goes it this morning? I hope that you had a groovy weekend and that you are prepped and excited about the week ahead!
I definitely had a groovy weekend, and I am looking forward to an amazing week ahead!
This week is I plan to do more Spring cleaning and organizing. Sometimes when I am immersed in a project, I basically focus on the project and little else. Does this happen to you? On the one hand I am typically thrilled to get in the zone and be super-focused as my level of efficiency goes through the roof. On the other hand, that super-focus may cause me to overlook other things.
Normally, I noticed the “undone” things after a project is over. I have to admit, that when that happens I have naively scratched my head and thought, “what happened to my level of organization and why is my office in such disarray?”.
Like many things in life, we should seek a balance in order to not have undone things pile up. In the restaurant business, there is the acronym, “CAYG”, which stand for “Clean As You Go”. This means that cleaning is being done all the time during the opening hours of the restaurant. Some would ask why that is important. It is important for a number of reasons. A big reason is to keep everything as clean and sanitary as possible. Another reason is that at the end of the business day, there is no monumental cleanup job that must be done. If this wasn’t done, both employees and managers would have a lot of extra work to be done after the restaurant closed…. making their work day even longer.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
