My Letters To My Son

Buongiorno Son

May 6, 2024 By Dad

Buongiorno Son,

Have you wondered from time to time why I include certain life lessons when I write to you? Do some of them even sound a bit “too preachy”?

Let me ask you this question, when you care about someone wouldn’t you want to help them avoid some of life’s trap and pitfalls? Of course you would!

Personally, I have made a lot of mistakes in my life. Some of the mistakes I have made have been really stupid and I would like to help you avoid as many mistakes as possible.

The challenge comes when we deal with people who will not admit their mistakes. These types of people are typically narcissistic. They may feel that if they admit a mistake that it will make people think less of them. I wonder if they ever think about the consequences of concealing the truth.

It is better to admit your mistakes, learn from them, and be truthful with people rather than having them find out later that you lied. Nothing will diminish your credibility faster than lying. After all, how are people supposed to trust you if you do not trust yourself enough and trust your esteem enough to own your mistakes and live with true authenticity.

Well, that is all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
