My Letters To My Son

How Are You Today Son

December 9, 2024 By Dad

How Are You Today Son,

Welcome to another amazing day!

Something crossed my mind, and I wondered if you have ever run into this type of person. The type of person I’m speaking of is the type of person who can never admit that they are wrong.

How is it possible that anyone of sound mind can harbor the belief that they never make mistakes? That is an interesting question because if a person can never admit their mistakes they basically want to be perceived as perfect. I don’t know about you, but I have never met a perfect person.

A person who can never admit that they are wrong is denying reality. Some may describe this type of person as delusional. That is unfortunate because denying reality can’t really lead to a positive outcome.

Those who can’t admit that they are wrong have a fragile ego; one that is so fragile that the person attempts to distort reality. Internally, it must be very difficult to lack strong self-esteem yet pretend to be so confident.

One of the biggest problems these types of people will face is that they won’t be able to make progress in certain areas of their lives. After all, how can any of us learn from our mistakes if we refuse to admit that we made them?

Personally, these are the types of people that I would tend to avoid forming relationships with. Why? Because people who cannot admit their mistakes are lying to themselves and will lie to you as well. When you are presented with the choice of forming a relationship with a dishonest person or an honest person, which would you choose?

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
