My Letters To My Son

Hello Son

September 15, 2025 By Dad

Hello Son,

Do you remember discussing this quote by Ghandi:

“Be the change you want to see in the world” – Mahatma Ghandi

I love this quote because there is so much that we can do to make changes for the better. Now it doesn’t have to be anything monumental like inventing a new type of farming technique that can feed twice as many people. It can be something as simple as holding the door open for an elderly person or smiling at someone who looks sad and lost.

You see, if you want a kinder world each small act can be meaningful. Every time you show kindness to another person you plant a seed. A simple act of kindness can change a person’s perspective on the world. For instance, if you hold the door open for an elderly person, that act could restore some of their faith in humanity. In turn, they may help someone else that day. This ripple effect demonstrates that there is no such thing as an insignificant positive action.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
