How are things going there today? Quite naturally, I hope that your day is starting well and that your entire day will go smoothly!
Right now, I’m sitting in my office and sipping a delicious cup of coffee. I’m getting a few things done before I go and workout for the day. Just curious, do you have a daily workout routine?
I know that everyone doesn’t exercise. There are any number of reasons why. It’s understandable that people have a tough time getting started. Sometimes people start off trying to do too much. That is not a good idea as it can lead to physical injuries. Also, there is the possibility of mental and emotional injury from not doing what you set out to do. Going from a low-activity lifestyle to a high-activity lifestyle over a short period of time is not a good idea.
Someone who does not currently exercise can start very slowly, sometimes laughably slowly. I remember when I wanted to start doing pushups. I told people that I was going to do 5 pushups per day starting on January 1st. You should have heard the reactions I received. However, people stopped laughing when I was doing 75 pushups per day in addition to my regular workout!
Embracing the limitless power of incremental change can allow you to start small, even very, very small and achieve more than you ever imagined.
