My Letters To My Son

Bonjour Son

December 19, 2016 By Dad Leave a Comment

Bonjour Son,

While, this year really seems to be flying by rapidly. Does it seem that way to you? It seems like we were just enjoying summer and then all of a sudden we’re into the winter holiday season. I’ve heard it said that the years seem to go by quicker as you grow older.

Are you ready for Christmas? Please contact me to let me know if you would like something special and I will do what’s in my power to get it for you. Typically, I have all my Christmas shopping done way before Christmas. To me, it is just easier to do it a little bit at a time rather than going through the stress of rushing about doing last-minute shopping.

I actually prefer to do most things that way. In the long run, it just seems easier to plan ahead and make progress, rather than to put things off to the last minute and then rush to complete them. To me, rushing creates unnecessary extra pressure and that can often lead to unnecessary extra mistakes. To each his own I guess. Some people claim that they work better under pressure. I’m not denying that such a claim could be true, but if you only complete tasks under pressure, then you don’t really have a good point of comparison. In short, those who claim that they work best under pressure may have never given themselves the opportunity to see how much more easily and efficiently they could work with some proper planning.

How about you? How do you work best? However you happen to work, consider the fact that most great human achievements were not accomplished by not planning ahead and waiting to the last minute.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day!

Love,

Dad
