Buenos Días Son,
Happy Monday to you!
Today I want to share another really cool quote with you that I thought you might enjoy:
“Don’t allow the voice of your fear to drown out the voice of your courage.”
Many people would read that quote and would say, “… But I don’t have any fear!”. People who say that are simply in denial. Everyone fears or has feared something in their lifetime.
One of the things that makes fear difficult to deal with at times is the fact that fear is a, “beautiful liar”. The voice of fear may tell you that you are sparing someone’s feelings in a certain situation, when all you may be doing is delaying an inevitable confrontation with an unreasonable person.
Fear wants to keep you comfortable, to take the path of least resistance. The voice of fear wants us to “feel good”, where is the voice of courage wants us to “do good”.
A prime example of fear can be seen when someone asks us to lie for them. When someone asks you to lie for them, they are asking you to falsely gain someone else’s trust by verifying their deceit. Basically, if a friend or family member asks us to lie for them many will feel the fear of loss welling up in them. What is that fear of loss? It is the fear of the loss of the relationship with that person who is asking us to lie. When we are placed in such a situation, we must let the voice of courage override the voice of fear and do what is right… And lying, of course, whether for yourself or for someone else, simply isn’t right.
Although it is sometimes very difficult, we must always let the voice of courage be the voice of reason and prevail over the voice of fear.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
