My Letters To My Son

Bonjour Son

December 9, 2019 By Dad Leave a Comment

Bonjour Son,

What a great weekend! I hope that your weekend was great too and that you’re looking forward to a wonderful week ahead!

In our previous discussion about what to do after you fail, we discussed a few of the reasons that people might not plan ahead in order to avoid failure. When we don’t plan ahead, we are taking the easy way out, the “path of least resistance”. Unfortunately, as we often find out in life, the path of least resistance is also the path of least achievement and fulfillment.

Now, before we continue, we have to realize that just because we plan ahead doesn’t mean that we won’t still fail. We have to keep in mind that planning ahead doesn’t eliminate failure, but it does increase our probability of success. With that said, doesn’t it make sense for us to do everything we can to increase our probability of success?

It is vitally important to keep in mind that planning ahead doesn’t have to be difficult. In fact, it can be relatively simple. Basically, we decide what we want to accomplish and then outline the steps necessary to achieve our goals. Of course, that’s a super simplified overview of the planning process in one sentence. How simple or how complex your plan is will depend on how simple or complex your goals are.

Regardless of the simplicity or complexity of your goals, planning ahead is essential to increasing your probability of success and minimizing your probability of failure.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
