How’s it going there today? I hope that everything is wonderful and that you’re having an amazing day looking forward to a wonderful week and yet another incredible year!
I thought I’d start the day off by sharing another cool quote with you. I hope you don’t mind. Often times, I find that certain quotes resonate with me and allow me to adopt a perspective on life that I might not have otherwise had. Naturally, I hope the quotes I share with you will resonate with you as well.
Here is the quote:
“Happiness starts within. Do not expect anyone else to make you happy.”
As simple as that quote is, it might be very confusing to a lot of people. Why? One reason might be that at some point in time we have all made the mistake of seeking something external to fill an internal void.
It seems a lot of people look for another person to make them happy. As it turns out, I’ve been guilty of that in the past as well. That’s not to say that having a special person in your life won’t add to your happiness. Having a special person in your life can absolutely add to your happiness! I’m experiencing that now with my sweetheart and it is nothing short of amazing!
So, I would say to anyone don’t wait for that special person to be happy. Cultivate your own personal happiness now. That way, when you do meet that special person you can add to their happiness.
Now, I have to openly admit that I’m far from being a relationship expert. I can say, however, that I believe that fulfilling relationships are all about giving. Two people who never stop giving to each other are more likely to have a healthy, happy relationship than two people who never stopped taking from each other.
