I hope that your day is going well, and that all is well with you!
Things are good here and I’m already enjoying the early springtime weather that we’re having.
Today is going to be a very productive day. I like using the term “productive” rather than the term “busy”. Someone can be “busy” just running around in a circle and getting nowhere. Being productive means that you are moving forward and making progress.
I have many things that I look forward to accomplishing today. Yesterday, however, was a bit different for me. I went to bed thinking of all the things that I wanted to accomplish, and had a solid plan in mind. When I started working, however, I decided to take a slight detour to make a simple change in some software. The next thing I know I was caught up in what seemed like an endless conversation with a technical support representative.
It’s interesting, I found, dealing with the representative to be a bit frustrating as it seems that they were more of a sales representative than a tech support representative. Now it makes sense that a sales representative would constantly try to get you to upgrade and spend more money with their company. That was not my objective. My objective was to get the software that I had already purchased from his company to function as it should.
In the end, I ended up digging a bit deeper into the software and learning more about it at the same time. Fortunately, I discovered some great features and benefits of the software that I didn’t even know existed.
I suppose one could say that my situation plays into the age-old saying, “Every cloud has a silver lining”. What started off as a frustrating experience, ended up being quite a rewarding experience.
