Good Morning Son,
I trust that you had a great weekend and that your day is going well!
It’s another great day here and I am having a wonderful time and making excellent progress. I say making progress rather than keeping busy because keeping busy can just mean shuffling papers around your desk without any clear purpose.
You have often times noticed that I say, “Progress equals Happiness”. Have you found that to be true? I have definitely found that to be true.
Of course, making progress is only meaningful if we are travelling in the right direction. We have all travelled in a direction that we didn’t necessarily want to go. As long as we correct our course and get back on track to travel in the right direction, we can still make progress. If our day consists of taking two steps forward to every one step we take backward, we will still be making progress.
In addition to travelling in the right direction, we must also pursue what is meaningful rather than pursue that which is expedient. Why? Because often times the path of least resistance is also the path of least reward. Often times the reward is commensurate with the difficulty of the task.
Whatever you are doing today, I hope that you are making progress towards a life that you deem is worth living.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
