My Letters To My Son

Great Morning Son

July 22, 2024 By Dad

Great Morning Son,

How are things going there today? I already know in advance that you are as ready and excited about the week ahead as I am!

I hope that your weekend was exactly what you needed. My weekends are always great as I get to spend them with my sweetheart. Do you have anyone special in your life? I can tell you from my personal experience that an empowering relationship is a key component to a happier life.

Today, I was thinking about fear. I’m not talking about the type of fear that serves a positive purpose. Many fears that we have are designed to shield us from injury or death. For instance, I could say that I’m afraid to jump out of an airplane without a parachute. Why? Well, we both know the reason why!

The type of fear I’m talking about is the type that keeps us from moving forward in our lives. A simple definition I have created for this type of fear as I see it is as follows:

“A temporary state that caused me to doubt my own God-Given abilities and potential.”

Let’s revisit this discussion of the types of fears that hold us back at a later date.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
