As your father, I would love for you to call your Grandmother. She is not doing well and would love to hear your voice. I would love to hear your voice too!
There is so much that I want to share with you. I always hope that when I share the mistakes that I’ve made, that you will be able to learn from them and avoid them. Believe it or not, there are some people who would scoff at that and say, “I want to have things my way and make my own mistakes”. That particular attitude is completely understandable, but is it really the smartest route to take to live your best possible life?
We all need to learn from one another. After all, as the saying goes, ”why reinvent the wheel”.
Now, I don’t want to only share my mistakes with you, but my victories as well. A great many of my victories were the result of leaning from past mistakes.
One of the key parts of learning from your mistakes is to admit that you made them in the first place. People who are in denial about their own mistakes are at a terrible disadvantage. After all, how can you learn from your mistakes if you don’t own up to making them?
