My Letters To My Son

Hello Son

August 8, 2022 By Dad

Hello Son,

I hope you are having a great day and that you are looking forward to the week ahead!

I’m taking a quick break today to write to you and let you know that I am thinking about you. Of course, I love you, so I think about you often.

I always hope that your day is going well and that you are healthy and happy. I always hope that people are treating you with kindness and respect and that you are doing the same for them.

One of my fondest hopes for you is that you experience the joy that I am blessed to feel each and every day. For me, God is the source of my strength and my joy.

I know that we haven’t talked about God at length, so I thought a little background would give you some perspective.

My personal spiritual experience started without believing in God. I had labeled myself as agnostic. “Agnostic” means, “a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.” I had always considered myself a scientist, so if I remember correctly, at that time that meant that I needed absolute proof that God existed.

Fast-forward years later, and I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior. In reality, this doesn’t seem very scientific, does it? It is what I would like to call a leap of faith. I can tell you this without reservation: it was the best decision I ever made!

I am not sure where you are in your spiritual journey. I want you to know that you can always feel free to discuss your journey with me or ask me any questions you wish about my spiritual journey.

Today, I leave you with this simple question: “What would the world look like if everyone followed God’s Ten Commandments”?

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
