Hello Son,
How’s it going there today? I hope that all is well and that you’re looking forward to a wonderful day and a great week ahead!
For me, I’m still in the process of spring-cleaning. In my case, that means not only clearing any physical clutter in this organization, but any mental or emotional clutter and disorganization as well.
Of course, the best course of action is to maintain rather than correct. It’s really easy to get busy and stay focused in one particular area of your life. In my most recent case, I find myself focused almost exclusively on one of my big projects.
By focusing on my big project, I have to openly admit that I have ignored many other things. For instance, yesterday I went out to take, “before” pictures of the yard. I did this because the lawn care guys were coming out to cut the grass and I wanted before and after pictures.
As I was taking “before” pictures, my jaw dropped at how quickly the grass and shrubs and other plants had grown. I have to admit that it had gotten downright unsightly. Now it’s not the fault of the grass, shrubs, or other plants that grew enthusiastically during our rainy period. It also wasn’t the fault of any of the lawn care companies that turned out to be undependable and didn’t show up on time. As I usually say, it was the fault of the “man in the mirror”. It was obvious that I dropped the ball!
As I’m sure you already know, dropping the ball is no fun. However, realizing that you dropped the ball and taking responsibility for it is extremely important.
Let’s pick up our discussion about this at a later date.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
