Good Morning Son,
I hope that you are having another wonderful day! I found another cool quote that I thought you would like. It’s by one of my favorite authors:
“I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” – Stephen R. Covey
What do you think of that quote? If we stop and think about it, it is our decisions that create our circumstances to a certain degree.
At some point in time, we all make a decision as to what we want to do for a living. Some will strictly pursue their passion. Others will strictly pursue what they believe is practical to earn an income in line with their goals and dreams.
We’ve all heard the saying,” Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life”. This basically speaks to having a career in a field that you’re passionate about being very fulfilling. Ideally, you would be able to earn a living that is in line with your financial goals as well. After all, none of us want to be in a field that we’re passionate about and still end up living from paycheck to paycheck. It is not the simplest thing to have and maintain long term goals and dreams with short term finances.
Of course, the decisions we make are much more far-reaching than those of career and finances. What we choose in life will determine our degree of health, wealth, and happiness.
Relationships: The quality of our relationships has a great deal to do with the quality of our lives. Some say that it has more to do with the quality of our lives than any other factor. With that said, it would stand to reason that we choose those we are in relationships with very carefully. Cultivating a loving relationship, of course, takes time. Sometimes, however, our need for love and affection can cause our emotions to override our logic. Whether you like to think about relationships in logical terms or not, we have to evaluate the person with whom we wish to have a relationship. Rather than diving in head first into a relationship with someone we haven’t taken the time to get to know. Here’s a quote/rule that I have followed in the past that in retrospect has served me well:
“You don’t ever really know who you’re dealing with, until things don’t go as planned”. Please keep that rule in mind when getting into a relationship with anyone.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
