My Letters To My Son

Dad

How Are You Today Son

February 20, 2023 By Dad

How Are You Today Son,

How are you on this fine day? I hope that all is well and that you are living the life that you’ve always wanted to live.

What do you have planned for the week ahead? Hopefully it’s a good mix of work/life balance. I don’t know about you with regard to this, but I’ve been told that I work constantly. Actually, that’s not true, I just happen to enjoy my work and I enjoy making progress in my work as well.

There is a saying, and I’m paraphrasing here, that goes something like this: “Do what you love, and you will never work another day in your life”. I have to admit that some days don’t feel like work even though things get done. In reality, though, there are some tasks that I look forward to more than others.

One of the tasks that sometimes seems more tedious than I would like is documenting processes. In any project, it makes sense to keep a detailed record of your processes. Keeping those records is time-consuming to say the least. In contrast, what’s even more time-consuming is attempting to repeat those processes without a process roadmap to follow. In my personal experience, I have found that it makes more sense to follow a proven process roadmap instead of starting from scratch. I can’t even begin to tell you how much time this has saved me.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
