My Letters To My Son

Dad

How Are You Today Son

May 10, 2021 By Dad

How Are You Today Son,

Wow! What a difference a day or a few days can make! I say that because I had food poisoning over the weekend starting with what I ate Friday night.

I know that may sound like a strange way to start a letter, but I thought I’d share a bit about my experience with you.

If you have ever had food poisoning, you already know it is unpleasant to say the least. Fortunately, it has happened rarely in my life and hopefully not at all in your life. If I am remembering correctly, the last time I had food poisoning was in 2015. This is not one of things that you easily forget.

The queasiness that accompanies food poisoning was frustrating as nothing seemed to calm my queasiness. The final answer to calming my queasiness was, of course, to vomit several times (I know what you’re thinking, “Dad, don’t be gross!”).

Typically, nobody wants to vomit or have diarrhea in such circumstances and as a result they may take some over-the-counter medication to relieve their symptoms. Well, vomiting and diarrhea actually help you get rid of what’s causing vomiting and diarrhea in the first place. Makes sense right?

Well, there you have it, proof positive that your Dad is human and gets sick from time to time like everyone else.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
