My Letters To My Son

Dad

Howdy Son

December 14, 2020 By Dad

How are you on this fine day? I hope that you are doing absolutely great!

I had a great weekend and the week ahead looks great too.

Last week, I spent a lot of time putting out fires. Some of that was dealing with computer software glitches. These challenges started out frustrating me, but fortunately they turned out to be valuable learning experiences.

One of my main objectives when having a challenge is to not only be victorious over the current challenge, but to take preventative steps to keep that challenge from happening again in the future. Now, it may not always be possible to keep some challenges from recurring, but at least you can work to minimize their future impact.

When it comes to dealing with challenges, many people want a quick fix and I, for one, don’t have a problem when issues get resolved quickly. However, rather than seeking a quick and temporary fix, out time is better spent seeking a long-term, permanent solution.

Challenges will always be a part of life. It seems that the more of them that you have, the better you get at dealing with them. When you get good at dealing with challenges, those challenges that in the past seemed impossible to overcome, will be so much simpler to overcome. Your future challenges will not get resolved more easily because they are smaller, they will get resolved more easily because you are bigger!

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
