My Letters To My Son

Dad

Hello Son

Hello Son,

It’s already started off to be a busy day here, how about there? As far as I’m concerned, busy is good as long as it leads to progress!

Do you ever have one of those mornings where you wake up 30 minutes before your alarm goes off? That can be pretty frustrating. On the one hand, you might think it would be great to get 30 more minutes of sleep. On the other hand, 30 minutes of sleep might not satisfy you and just prove to be more aggravating than waking up 30 minutes earlier.

Personally, I love a good night of sleep. There is nothing quite like waking up in the morning completely refreshed, recharged, and ready to go!

Well, this morning was one of those mornings where I woke up 36 minutes before my alarm was to go off. I decided that I would be frustrated if I tried to sleep for 36 more minutes. One reason is that if I did decide to go back to sleep, just trying to fall asleep could eat up most of my 36 minutes. What would happen then is I’d only be left with a few minutes of extra sleep in the first place.

So, I decided to get up and embrace the day 36 minutes earlier. I did this because what typically happens is that the part of me that says, “just go back to bed” lost out to the part of me that said, “let’s jump start the day right now”.

Well, jumpstarting the day by getting up immediately was the right decision. As the day took its natural course, the completion of task upon task generated its own momentum and made the rest of the day a breeze and an absolute joy!

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
