I hope that you are having nothing less than an amazing day!
You have probably heard about the flooding in my area of the country. That has really changed things around here and other parts of the country. There were even some highways that were closed because of flooding.
The last time my girlfriend and I were hiking on one of our favorite trails, we could see signs that the water had been very high. Typically, when the water recedes, it leaves debris that indicates the level to which it rose.
While on the trail we met a nice young couple that said they had not been able to hike on the trail the previous day because it had been underwater. I was amazed by how much the water had receded in such a short period of time.
As a result of the flooding we saw 7 snakes that were very near the trail. The young couple came along and the guy identified the snakes. As it turns out they were all poisonous! Ouch!
Now, I’m not afraid of snakes. OK, let me rephrase that. I’d like to think that I’m not afraid of snakes, but I definitely want to steer clear of any that are poisonous. How about you? Is there any wildlife that you would rather not come face to face with?
