Well, here we are at the start of another amazing week ahead!
As you may have guessed, I am deep in the process of organization. You may wonder if as often as I talk about it, if I’ll ever get done. The short answer is probably not. Why? The reason is that with an ever-increasing number of projects more organization and streamlining is necessary in order for things to go smoothly.
I’m in the process now of automating as many repetitive tasks as I can. I would imagine that if any of us added up the time that we spend doing small things over and over again, we would be surprised at how much time we could have saved in a year.
Sometimes, it’s pretty difficult to realize how much time we could save By performing tasks in a more efficient manner. I’ll give you a simple example. Say that you have medicine that you take every day and also supplements. Let’s also say that the total number of pills you take each day, that’s medicine and supplements, is equal to 6. Now some people would open each of the six bottles every day and take out one pill. That would mean that you opened pill bottles 6×365 = 2,190 times a year. Alternatively, you could organize your pills by placing them in any of the variety of pill containers available at most any store. Let’s say that you have 2 such containers, each of which can hold 14 days of pills. 2 containers x 14 days of pills = 28 days of pills. For a full year of pills, you would have to fill those containers, 365/28 = 13.04 times. That means that you opened your pill bottles 13.04 x 6 = 78.24 times as opposed to 2,190 times. That’s a big savings in time and effort, right?
