My Letters To My Son

Dad

Top Of The Morning To You Son

Top Of The Morning To You Son,

I’m ready to go after a great weekend and I hope that you are ready to go after a great weekend as well!

I had an opportunity this weekend to go on my first real walk of the year. I was a little reluctant at first, because I had a strange twinge in my lower back. Apparently, I had lifted something heavy incorrectly and had strained a muscle or two.

The strange thing is, even though I felt a little bit reluctant to go on a walk, especially a long walk, my back felt fine. In fact, after over 6 miles, I didn’t notice any pain anywhere.

When it was all said and done, I was very glad that I didn’t let a fear of the walk creating further back pain get in the way of completing the walk.

I suppose that this is reflective of many things in life. It’s pretty easy to let our fear of potential future pain keep us from pursuing the joy of potential future pleasure.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
