Happy 2016 Son,
How are things going in this brand new year? Did you do anything special to celebrate the New Year?
Things are great here and I certainly hope that they are great with you. Your Grandmother, aunts, cousins and the rest of your family here all send their love.
Are you happy? As your Dad, that’s a question I may ask you from time to time because it is very important. No one really wants to trudge through life miserably, right? Am I saying that it is always easy to be happy? No, I am not saying that it is always easy to be happy, simply that it is always better to be happy than to be unhappy. We will all have negative people and negative circumstances enter our lives, that is an unfortunate, but manageable reality. That unfortunate reality, however, does not mean that we can allow negative people or negative circumstances to define who we are.
Son, remember that happiness is a choice. When you choose happiness for yourself, you also help those around you lead a happier life as well.
