I certainly hope that this letter finds you in good health and spirits.
How was your weekend? I hope that it was great. I had a great walk on one of my favorite trails down by the river. It looked so much different than it did this summer. Even though there were leaves covering most of the trail, the trees still had plenty of green leaves left on them. The leaves have started to change color, but the colors have not been very bright. The peak time for the brightest fall colors here is usually in mid-October, so maybe we won’t see any brighter colors this year.
How is the weather there? I hope that it’s nice enough for you to do whatever you want to do outdoors. I know that winter is right around the corner. Many people tell me that they don’t like the winter because of the colder temperatures or the snow. My least favorite part of winter is the lack of daylight savings time. I would prefer that it didn’t get dark so early.
