My Letters To My Son

Letters

Good Morning Son,

January 30, 2023 By Dad

Good Morning Son,

As always, I hope that you had a great weekend! How’s your outlook for the week ahead?

How has the year started out for you? This has been an amazing month here. It has been a month of stepping outside my regular routine and my comfort zone. I’m happy to say that stepping outside my comfort zone has been great. If we stop and think about it, so much of the progress we make in life is the result of stepping outside our comfort zone. Sometimes we don’t want to rock the boat because we are afraid we might fall in the water. Maybe, just maybe, the water is where the treasure is.

When I mention moving outside your comfort zone, I’m not talking about taking reckless and/or dangerous chances. I’m not even talking about taking uncalculated risks. I’m talking about evaluating where you are compared to where you want to be and charting a course to get there.

Moving outside your comfort zone is similar to thinking outside the box. When you continually think outside the box, the box does not stay the same size. The box gets bigger and bigger and bigger. The same is true of moving outside your comfort zone. Your comfort zone gets bigger and bigger and bigger. As that happens, you will find yourself accomplishing more because we are all more likely to do the things that we are comfortable with.

When you expand your comfort zone, you expand your accomplishments as well as your potential to accomplish more in the future. You expand your life.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
