Previously we were discussing a quote by Stephen R. Covey. The quote is below:

We also touched on that, “We can’t control everything, but we can control how we interpret and feel about things.” For instance, you and I have been denied access to each other time and time again based on things that were not true. Once someone falsifies information and creates a huge false narrative, it is not easy for them to tell the truth. In fact, very few people have the courage to set the record straight. That is why you hear me repeat the phrase, “All liars are cowards.”
So, as I was being falsely accused in order to keep you and I separated, there were many different avenues my thoughts and emotions could take. I chose to focus on my love for you as my son, which can never be taken away from me rather than my access to my son, which was illegally and immorally taken from me. As a result of this, your access to your father was illegally and immorally taken from you.
In life, we will all run across people who seem to have lost their moral compass. Our job is to make sure we don’t lose ours.
