Happy Monday once again, my Son!
If you don’t mind, I’d like to follow up a bit on last week’s letter by continuing our chat about health.
I have to openly admit that I’m not some super disciplined person that has always been in peak health and physical condition. Like most people, I have gone through periods in my life when I haven’t paid that much attention to my health. There were those periods in my life when I put things in my body based upon how they made me feel. For instance, there were times when I ate “comfort food” because it made me feel settled and more “comfortable”. I would typically do this while I was sitting on a comfortable couch watching some “comfortable” TV program.
In the example I spoke of above, my goal was clearly to be comfortable. If my goal had been to be healthy, then the food I ate and the actions I took, would be completely different.
One of the first steps to take is to decide that you want to become healthy and that you want to do what is necessary to maintain your health. One of the best ways to do this is to take some time to study what true strong, vibrant health really is. Research the foods you should be eating and the exercises you should be doing to reach whatever your health goal is. Also remember to pay close attention to your mental health. Eliminating stress and worry can do wonders for your peace of mind and happiness.
