How Are You Today Son

October 31, 2016 By Dad Leave a Comment

How Are You Today Son,

It’s Dad here once again to wish you a Happy Monday and the best week possible.

I ran across another quote that I really liked and wanted to share it with you.

“People will forget
What you said,
People will forget
What you did,
But people will
Never forget how
You made them feel.”

Maya Angelou

Can you imagine a world where everyone seeks to encourage and inspire every person they meet? It may seem that our present world is far from such an idealized potential world, and that would be true. That does not mean that we should give up on the goal of improving our current world. In fact, because our world is in such desperate need of improvement, we must make a conscious effort to improve it.

The easiest trap for us to fall into is the false notion that we are powerless to change anything. Often, we will wait until we feel we are in a position to make some monumental change that will benefit many people. That type of thinking can be overwhelming, with the end result being that we do nothing, because we are waiting for the perfect time to “change the world”.

While we may not be able to make a monumental change today, we can make small changes everyday. For instance, we can be kind to someone today simply be smiling at them. Believe it or not, this simple act of kindness can transform someone’s day from dull to bright and beautiful. I have personally done this thousands of times and the results are nothing short of amazing!

There are many ways to “make someone’s day”, smiling at them, listening to them attentively, and many many more. Remember, that it takes courage to be kind. Be courageous and be kind and you will change not only other people’s lives for the better, but your life as well.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day!

Love,

Dad
