How Are You Today Son,
As always, I hope that you are having a wonderful day. If not, we can always talk about any challenges you may be having. I have always been here to help you live a fuller and happier life and always will be here for you.
There’s something important that I want to say before I end this letter. You may find that sometimes there may be things that I say that sound negative. You may even think to yourself, “Dad is usual super positive, so I don’t know why he sounds so negative today”. One reason for that is that to live the best possible life there are things that you should and should not do. For instance, here are some phrases that may be interpreted as negative because they contain the word, “Don’t” – “Don’t Lie, Don’t Cheat, Don’t Steal”.
While the phrases above may sound negative on the surface, the results of living by those phrases are definitely positive. After all, don’t you agree that the world would be a better place if people didn’t lie, cheat, and steal? If you stop and think about it, it’s not rocket science. People who lie, cheat, and steal add to the world’s problems. People who do not lie, cheat, and steal are part of the solution to the world’s problems.
It will never be my intention to sound negative when I speak with you. As in the example above, what may seem negative was written in a way to serve as a few good rules to live by. What is truly negative are the consequences of not living by those three simple rules.
I love you, Son, and want for you to lead an amazing life. Whenever possible, I want to steer you in the right direction to help you avoid those things that will keep you from leading the extraordinary life that you so richly deserve.
