My Letters To My Son

Letters

Happy Marvelous Monday Son

April 14, 2025 By Dad

Happy Marvelous Monday Son,

Well, another great day and amazing week awaits us! I hope that you are energized and ready for the week ahead!

I’m still doing Spring cleaning here and as it turns out it is a much more monumental task than I imagined (isn’t that always the case!).

Sometimes, I look at how much needs to be down and it feels overwhelming. Does that ever happen to you? As a side note, I remember that I asked a friend of mine how he handles running up very long, steep hills. He told me that he looks down and only a few feet in front of him. He says that keeps him from getting overwhelmed by the monumental task at hand.

My friend’s idea definitely has merit and can be applied to many situations. For my Spring cleaning, I think I’ll take one section of the house at a time. In fact, I’ll start with a small section. After that small section is complete, I’ll start on another small section and rinse and repeat.

I’m glad that I wrote to you today. It reminded me of a principle I use all the time, but sometimes take for granted…the principle of consistent incremental change.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
