My Letters To My Son

Great Morning Son

January 20, 2025 By Dad

Great Morning Son,

I hope that you are enjoying this amazing day as you will enjoy the week ahead.

As you might have guessed, I found another cool quote that I’d like to share with you:

“Realize that if you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it.” – Anthony J. D’Angelo

It’s so easy to whine and complain about things, especially if your friends or family members can sometimes make complaining an artform!

If we stop and think about it, what problems does complaining really solve? I would venture to say not many. I have often wondered if the people who complain about the government ever do anything about it and actually go out and vote. I would also venture to say that there are some people who will enthusiastically participate in public demonstrations but do not vote. I actually know of at least one person who has never voted.

“It won’t matter anyway” is the lame excuse some have for never voting! Perhaps what they are really communicating is that it doesn’t really matter enough to them to do anything constructive about it. If those types of people don’t believe voting will matter, what on Earth makes them think that complaining will matter?

Would you agree with the quote above?

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
