Good Morning Son,
After a wonderful weekend, here we are yet another amazing start of a great week!
I ran across another interesting quote that I wanted to share with you:
“May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears”- Nelson Mandela
I love that quote because far too many of our choices are based on our fears. If we stop and think about it, people make a lot of decisions based upon what they don’t want, rather than what they want.
Now, making choices based on our fears cannot be considered completely bad. For instance, we “hope” things go a certain way based upon a “fear” of having them go in a negative direction. Let’s say you were about to cross a busy street. Your choice to cross that street cautiously could be based upon your fear of not wanting to get hit by a car. Basically, you are hoping that you cross the street safely. That makes sense, doesn’t it, even if it may sound a bit contradictory?
In a nutshell, it just makes sense to make our choices based upon what we want, rather than what we don’t want. After all, what we focus on in life is what we end up with in life. I’m certain that none of us wants to stay focused on our fears and have them become reality.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
