The Cave You Fear to Enter Holds the Treasure You Seek – Joseph Campbell
I love this quote because it speaks to getting out of your comfort zone and facing your fears. We may be fearful of the “cave” because we don’t know what we might encounter once we enter it. Inside the cave there may be any number of “unknowns” that we may be reluctant to face.
In life, there is very rarely a reward without risk and there most certainly is no life-changing reward without risk. Naturally, we must evaluate the risk, be prepared, and have a plan of action. Once we have those elements in place, there is no reason for us to let fear keep us from entering the cave and claiming the treasure we seek.
