I was reflecting upon something today that I wanted to share with you. Is the fact that in life you must “do the work”. Whatever it is you want to achieve in life make certain that you prepare yourself to work hard to make the progress that you want. There are rarely shortcuts in life and most of the shortcuts that you take will simply leave you, “short of your goal and short-changed”.
You might ask yourself if I have ever taken shortcuts. The answer would be yes, I have taken shortcuts and almost every single shortcut I have taken has been a horrible waste of time and effort. Shortcuts typically lead to a poorly done task that either you or someone else has to clean up later. Never leave things undone or assume that someone else will pick up the slack.
Work hard and when you perform a task, perform that task not to meet a standard, but to create a new standard of excellence.
