My Letters To My Son

Howdy Son

January 23, 2017 By Dad Leave a Comment

Howdy Son,

I was sitting here thinking about what a great day it is and wanted to send you a note to say hello. I hope that you are sharing my enthusiasm and having a wonderful day yourself.
We finally got some snow here and as usual, I was anxious to get out and shovel the driveway. Whenever I tell people that I can’t wait for it to snow and shovel the driveway, they look at me like I have taken leave of my senses. This is another one of those tasks that I used to dread until I changed my attitude. Since shoveling the driveway after it snows is something that must be done, it doesn’t really make sense to make the task more tedious by dreading doing the task. Besides that, when you dread or resent a task that causes you to worry. Worrying about doing a task only adds unnecessary stress to your life and who needs that.

Maybe it’s just me, but in my mind. It’s much easier to perform and complete a task when you look forward to it. Another important point is that we shouldn’t just look forward to getting it done, we should look forward to doing an excellent job. Just imagine what your life would be like if you looked forward to everything single thing that you needed to do.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
