My Letters To My Son

Top Of The Morning To You Son

Top Of The Morning To You Son,

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that you’re looking forward to a wonderful week ahead!

Our last conversations were about what one should do after one fails. It’s understandable that there is a lot of information available on what to do after you fail. Why is that? Well, because no one is perfect and everyone fails from time to time.

Sometimes, the question is not, “what do we do after we fail?”, but, “what can we do to not fail in the first place?”. I mean, after all, as the saying goes, “an ounce of prevention, is worth a pound of cure!”.

There are two simple words that can help us from failing in many areas of life. Those two words are, “plan” and “ahead”. They form the simple phrase, “plan ahead”.

Now some might argue that in order to fail you had to have a goal in the first place. Some would also say that if you had a goal in the first place that you had a plan to achieve that goal. That simply is not the case. In many instances, we “wish” or “hope” to accomplish something. Hoping and wishing are not the same as planning, are they?

Let’s continue this discussion at a later date. Please feel free to give me your input at any time.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
