Wow! What an incredible weekend I had! I hope that yours was incredible as well!
A while back we were discussing the truth and discussing that finding the truth involves hearing and evaluating more than one side of the story.
Now there are sometimes one side of the story may be completely accurate. That particular time is when the one side is being told by a truthful person. Even then, however you still want to know both sides of the story.
One sure way to tell if a person’s side of the story is correct or not is if they attempt in any way to alienate you from the other side of the story. One way this is done is to ensure that you’re not in contact with the person who has the other side of the story. If you’re being kept from or encouraged not to contact the person with the other side of the story by the person telling you only their side of the story, that person is hiding something from you. What they are hiding from you is the truth.
When people hide the truth from you and tell you something else in place of the truth, they are simply lying. While that may sound harsh to some people (for some odd reason liars don’t like to be called liars), it makes sense as reality is typically much harsher than the fictions with which many of us delude ourselves.
A person who lies to you is actually stealing from you. By not providing you with accurate information, and replacing the truth with a lie, they are robbing you of your choice and the ability to make a sound decision based on all the facts.
