How’s it going there today? I hope that your day is off to a great start and that you had a wonderful weekend to get some rest and relaxation!
It seemed like the weekend really went by fast for me. I was super busy mostly doing some upgrades on my sweethearts laptop. Needless to say, things didn’t exactly go as planned the first time around. I basically had to start over from scratch, and as you can imagine, I was a bit reluctant to do so.
I was reluctant to start over from scratch because it seemed so inefficient. Sometimes, however, starting over from scratch is the most efficient way to move forward. For instance, if you’re in the middle of a process and it is not working as planned, it is natural to try to patch things from there to get things to work. I tried that and I was getting absolutely nowhere, so i decided to start from scratch. As it turns out, I spent a lot more time working on patching things up then I would have if I had started from scratch sooner. I suppose you could see this as running into problems with your computer and getting to the point where you just decide to reboot it to see if that will clear things up.
Many times in life, things don’t go exactly as planned the first time you try them. This is why it’s important to be both resilient and persistent. Many people give up after the first try if something doesn’t work, not understanding that they could succeed on the very next try.
