My Letters To My Son

Dad

Good Morning Son

February 12, 2024 By Dad

Good Morning Son,

I hope that your morning is going well and that you are all set mentally, spiritually, and physically for a wonderful week ahead.

I have a question for you. What would you do if you knew you could not fail? I’ve seen this question asked many times before and I thought that now was a good time to reflect on it.

I suppose we could say that if you knew you could not fail you would try things you had never tried before. How different would all of our lives be if we were fearless? When I say fearless I don’t mean dive in without evaluation. That could be referred to as being careless and none of us would like to be careless.

When we speak of being fearless it oftentimes mean not letting something stop us from doing something we have put off or trying something new.

Interestingly enough, the fear of rejection keeps many people from moving forward in their lives. I can openly confess that it has kept me from moving forward more times than I care to admit. It makes sense though doesn’t it? After all, who wants to be rejected? We all want to be accepted, right?

The fear of rejection is very common and everyone who has ever breathed has experienced it. When you build up your self-esteem and self-confidence, however, you will find that your acceptance of yourself outweighs anyone else’s acceptance of you. This is a great step forward as it can minimize or virtually eliminate your fear of rejection and allow you to move forward.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
