My Letters To My Son

Dad

Buongiorno Son

February 5, 2024 By Dad

Buongiorno Son,

I am looking outside of the window and it is super sunny today. I love sunny days and I think most people do. In stark contrast, I like overcast days as well. When I stop and think about it, the “weather” on the inside of us, which is basically our attitude, can always be “sunny.” What kind of day are you having there weather wise?

Just like anything else, it has been said that your attitude dictates your altitude. Basically, that simply means that if you have a negative attitude then that just makes life unnecessarily tedious. If you happen to have a positive attitude, then you have set yourself up for the best possible day!

I have heard people say a lot of negative things about self-improvement/personal development and positive thinking. I must admit that initially I thought it might be all just mumbo jumbo as well. One of the smartest things I did was to experiment and find out for myself. Taking someone else’s word for it means I would basically have to be them or at least be in their particular frame of mind in order to interpret it in the same exact way.

Well, as it turns out, like many things in life, if you have faith in the process then the process will have faith in you. Many years ago, I tried thinking more positively about self-improvement/personal development and just gave it a try. After a while my initial skepticism was erased and replaced by positive results, and that is where the rubber meets the road.

Anytime you want to chat about the incredible benefits of any of those experiments that I have tried that have worked out well, I’d be more than happy to share them with you. There really is no reason to reinvent the wheel if you don’t have to, right?

Well, that is all for today!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
