My Letters To My Son

Dad

Great Morning Son

January 9, 2023 By Dad

Great Morning Son,

We were just recently speaking of New Year’s resolutions. Did you make any? If so, let’s look at some ways we can keep our New Year’s resolutions

Here are some tips for keeping your New Year’s resolutions:

Make specific and achievable goals: Instead of making broad or vague resolutions, try to be specific and set achievable goals. For example, instead of resolving to “lose weight,” set a specific goal like “lose 10 pounds by June.” This will make it easier to track your progress and stay motivated.

Set a plan: Decide how you will achieve your goals and make a plan. This might include setting smaller, intermediate goals, creating a schedule or routine, or finding resources or support to help you reach your goals.

Track your progress: Keep track of your progress by keeping a journal or using a tracking app or website. Seeing your progress can help to keep you motivated and on track.

Be flexible: Don’t be too hard on yourself if you don’t meet your goals exactly as planned. Be willing to adjust your goals or plan as needed and remember that progress takes time.

Celebrate your achievements: Don’t forget to celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. This can help to boost your confidence and motivation, and make your goals feel more attainable.

Seek support: Surround yourself with supportive people who can help you to stay on track and encourage you to achieve your goals. This might include friends, family, a coach or mentor, or a support group.

By following these tips, you can increase your chances of success in keeping your New Year’s resolutions. Remember to be kind to yourself and to focus on progress, rather than perfection.

It makes sense that whatever we want to do in life, making a plan to do it is a good idea. As the saying goes, “Seize the day”. It’s much better to control the day rather than let the day control you!

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
