My Letters To My Son

Dad

How Are You Today Son

November 14, 2022 By Dad

How Are You Today Son,

How are things going there today? Do you have big plans for the week ahead?

Naturally, I hope that all is well with you and that you are leading a happy, productive life. If, for some reason, you are not leading a happy, productive life, then please remember that I am always here to help.

Why would I suggest that you come to me if you want to lead a happy and productive life? Well, when you want to lead a certain lifestyle, doesn’t it make sense to learn from those who are already living that lifestyle?

First and foremost, I do not have all the answers, but I have discovered that you don’t have to have all the answers to lead a wonderful life. In reality, only God has all the answers.

I have realized that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing! We will all make mistakes. We will all encounter people who don’t have our best interests at heart. We will all encounter grief, sadness, stress, disappointment, despair, frustration, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, and a host of other negative emotions. Oh, and by the way, that doesn’t include the negatives of any physical pain or illness.

The negatives listed above were not listed to make us feel bad, they are listed because they are the reality of what we have experienced, are experiencing, and will most likely experience again. Because we experience negative things in life, doesn’t mean that our outlook on life or our life in particular has to be negative. Each of us decides the impact that the negative things in life will have on us.

Here’s a quote that I think readily applies:

“Being challenged in life is inevitable; being defeated is optional.” – Roger Crawford.

Let’s pick up this conversation at a later date.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
