My Letters To My Son

Dad

Buenos Días Son

January 17, 2022 By Dad

Buenos Días Son,

How are things with you today? Whatever type of day you are having, remember that you can always make it better.

It is not always easy to make every day better, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try. We could always say, “What’s good about this day?”. Many times we will go with the standard negative answer, “Nothing is good about this day” when having a “bad day”.

Let’s say that we were not feeling good one day and had a cold or the flu. What could possibly be good about that day. Well, maybe we can put it in perspective. Anytime we have any illness that doesn’t kill us, we should look at it as a wake-up call. Since very few of us do a great job of living a healthy lifestyle, we could assume that there is always an opportunity to improve our health.

What if you are criticized by your boss for something you did at work? It is easy to take offense and become defensive, isn’t it? Perhaps your boss was just in a foul mood and wanted to take it out on someone. Perhaps the work you did was not up to par. You could always ask your boss to offer suggestions for improvement. Criticism without suggestions for improvement is typically useless and may not be founded in fact.

Can every day be made better by changing your attitude? Well, I can say that by adopting a more positive outlook, you increase the likelihood that you will have a better day!

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
