My Letters To My Son

Dad

Buenos Días Son

October 20, 2025 By Dad

Buenos Días Son,

I trust that your day is going better than expected and if not I trust you will make sure it does!

I’d like to delve a bit more into the important topic of mental health.

Would it be fair to say that we gravitate towards what we think about most? For instance, if we watch the news and think that the world might end at any minute, would we live in a state of fear? If we believe that the universe is a wonderful, friendly place would that make us more positive?

Although we are discussing mental health today, it and physical health are inextricably linked. What does that mean? That means that mental health and physical health are bound to each other.

A simple example of how mental health and physical health are bound would be our mental and physical state when we are ill. Say, for example, we had a cold. We are sneezing, coughing, and feeling sluggish. How likely is it that we would approach the day in an empowered state?

Let’s chat more about this vitally important topic in a future conversation.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
