How’s it going there today? Things are good here.
I’m sure you’ve heard the news about the global unrest regarding police brutality and racism in the US. Protests have been happening around the world after George Floyd, a black man, was killed by a policeman. The foundation of these protests is the disproportionate number of black men who are killed by police in comparison to white men. I have not personally checked the statistics regarding this, so I cannot speak with authority on the matter.
What I do know is that there is a long-standing history of racism in the US. With that said, it would not be a great logical stretch to say that based upon the racism in the US, that there are white policemen who treat black men more harshly than their white counterparts. Again, though, I have not viewed the statistics regarding this.
