How Are You Today Son,
Is this an amazing day or what? I always hope and pray that every day is amazing for you and that each day is as wonderful as you are!
Last week, we were discussing a particular quote that I am very excited about. That quote was, “You can’t manage what you don’t measure” – Unknown Author.
I thought we’d start off this week exploring that quote a little more along with a quick and simple example:
Let’s say that I want to lose weight. You would think that this would not be such a big deal because there seem to be hundreds of weight loss plans to choose from. Yet, if we look at the number of people who are overweight or even obese in the United States you would think that they are not those many weight loss plans available.
Large numbers of people simply think they can plan to exercise more and eat less and then somehow magically the pounds will melt away. The problem with this type of wishful thinking is that most people don’t know how much to exercise or how much less they should eat in order to lose weight. As a result, they will find that when they step on the scale, the results are discouraging to say the least.
Believe me, I’ve been in the same exact boat myself. I just thought if I exercise like crazy, I would drop weight like crazy. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen that way.
